“What Now?”

Updated onNovember 25, 2020

Thursday, Dec. 3, 7-8:30 pm, on Zoom

In August, the Richmond Hill Community hosted a Zoom conversation entitled, Victory in Voting.  We focused on the importance of voting and offered resources in the political process.  With the thought of a global pandemic, the racial and civil unrest happening across our country, the feeling of uncertainty and the varied concerns over many demographics, we emphasized the significance of believers being a part of the democratic process.

You may ask why this is so critical to us? According to Isaiah 9, the scripture reminds us that, “the Government shall be upon His shoulders.”  It is our job, as believers, to use our voice in our communities to bring healing to the land as we point our brothers and sisters back to the one who is able to keep us from falling. It is up to us to take a stand while helping others to be reminded of their safety and security found in Christ!

Now that the elections are over, what’s next?  With recounts and run-offs concluding, how do we come together, regardless of political party and begin to heal as a community and live with one another — post election? “What Now?” is the question.

Paul Manning, Chief Service Officer for the City of Richmond, will join us to faithfully explore this question and our opportunities to respond.

Please join us in this critical conversation on Thursday, December 3rd at 7:00 PM.
