Faith in the City: Human Trafficking

Offered this week, January 5 – 8, 2016, at Virginia Union, in the L. Douglas Wilder Library:

Human Trafficking is active throughout the world today, as it has been for millennia. How do we understand this scourge as Christians, and how can we continue to address it, its perpetrators and its victims?

This course is offered to the Richmond Community free of charge. Full attendance is required for course credit. Persons may attend all or part of the program. Lunch provided Tues –Thurs. The event will be held on campus at Virginia Union University in the L. Douglas Wilder Library.

The Faculty will include: 
Dr. John W. Kinney, Dean and Professor of Theology, STVU 
Dr. Patricia Gould-Champ, Assistant Professor of Practical Theology, STVU
Rev. Valerie Carter, Executive Director of Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia
Rev. Dr. Paula Owens Parker, Presbyterian minister and senior program developer of Roots Matter

Jan. 8 Friday 9 a.m. – 12 noon Next Steps: Dialogue Groups and Group Reports
