Building Leaders, Transforming Lives, and Shaping Futures
With 98% of our students coming from low-income households and potentially being the first in their families to attend college, the Armstrong Leadership Program plays a crucial role in helping them realize their potential and pursue brighter futures. At Armstrong High School in Richmond, VA, we see every day the talent, drive, and resilience our students bring, as well as the challenges they face. Many live in difficult circumstances, and some days are harder than others, but they continue to show up and find ways to move forward.

The Armstrong Leadership Program helps students grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We focus on Personal Development, Leadership Training, Mentoring, Post-Graduate Preparation, and Cultural Exposure, providing students with the skills and support they need to succeed in high school and beyond.
Our work goes beyond academics. It is about building confidence, character, and resilience. It is about helping students see themselves as leaders, change-makers, and role models in their community. When students are given the chance to grow, they bring that growth back to their families and neighborhoods, creating opportunities for others along the way.
We believe in this ministry because every student has something special to offer. They have goals, dreams, and the ability to accomplish great things. By providing guidance, opportunities, and encouragement, we help them take steps toward a future they can be proud of.
Through mentorship, workshops, service projects, and postgraduate support, we aim to help students discover their passions, pursue their goals, and build a foundation for lifelong learning and leadership. Supporting these students is not just an investment in their futures; it is an investment in the future of their families and communities.
