Richmond Hill seeks a new Co-Pastoral Director

Updated onJuly 8, 2021

Co-PastorProfile

**For priority consideration, interested applicants should submit their materials by August 31, 2021. However, the position will remain open until filled.**

Thank you for your interest in Richmond Hill and its missional commitment to seek God’s healing of metropolitan Richmond. The leadership of this sacred place is shared by two Co-Pastoral Director positions, one of which is currently filled by Rev. Dr. Alesia “Lisa” Johnson. Richmond Hill prayerfully launched this search process to identify the individual God desires to join Lisa, following the decision by Rev. Joel Blunk to conclude his Co-Pastoral Director role (2016 – 2021).

The Co-Pastoral Director position here is comprised of two critical roles, introduced via each of the links below.

  • Residential member of the Richmond Hill community
  • Co-leader of the Richmond Hill ministry (view profile)

Please note, too, that the Co-Pastoral Director is an “all-in” position, the function of which is not compatible with a bi-vocational model nor ongoing structured leadership of an external ministry or congregation.

The process to fill this Co-Pastoral Director position is a deliberate one, bathed in mutual discernment by the applicant(s) and by the Richmond Hill community. To be considered for this unique position and explore the opportunity to effect the healing of metropolitan Richmond:

  • COMPLETE a brief online application
  • SUBMIT the following to apply@richmondhillva.org
    • A cover letter that
      • Introduces you
      • Provides a context for your ministry and current/recent role
      • Describes your potential call to the ministry of Richmond Hill
    • A resumé

Should you have early questions that are critical to your understanding of this opportunity and the possibility of applying, please contact Tim Holtz, Administrator at apply@richmondhillva.org
