Welcome to the Richmond Hill Library
The Library houses a wide-ranging collection of over 3500 volumes supporting the programs offered at Richmond Hill.
Originally set aside as a place where public visitors could meet the cloistered Sisters, the library provides a quiet place for reading and reflection, and it is open to all visitors. The library catalog is online and searchable at https://library.richmondhillva.org/.
The mission of the library is to support the spiritual development, teaching and learning of Richmond Hill residents, non-resident staff members, interns, retreatants, and all participants in the programs offered by the Center. The collection emphasizes current, well-recognized Biblical studies, religious texts, spirituality, prayer and meditation, social and racial justice, spiritual direction, healing and recovery, and Jungian psychology. While the focus of the collection is primarily Christian, other faith traditions are represented. The collection also includes a small reference collection, including Biblical interpretation sets.
