Why Teaching Truth Matters…

Updated onOctober 8, 2021

Thursday, October 28  |  4-5:30 pm  |  on Zoom

The Micah Initiative & Koinonia School of Race & Social Justice welcome Rethinking Schools

Did you know that at least 28 states have introduced legislation to limit the teaching of systemic racism in public schools? Join us as Rethinking Schools offers a dynamic lesson about today’s issues relating to teaching hard history and educating for social justice.

Rethinking Schools is the country’s leading advocacy organization dedicated to sustaining and strengthening public education through social justice teaching and education activism. The organization encourages grassroots efforts to enhance the learning and well-being of our children and to build a broad democratic movement for social and environmental justice.  Their Zinn Education Project has more than 100,000 educators who have registered to access their “people’s history” materials.
