Clergy Convocation 2021 | now on YouTube

Click here to see this rich discussion lead by the Rev. Dr. Proctor Beard, Sr. Pastor of the First Shiloh Baptist Church;  Rev. Alvernia Disnew, Chaplain, UNC Chapel Hill; Rev. Janet Legro, a Covenant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church; and Retired Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Sammy Williams.

As members of the clergy community begin to navigate the returning of congregations and how to maintain safety for communities, as well as tend to their families, we want to remind pastors and leaders to remember the Exodus passage of scripture that says, “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy”! Leaders, honor yourselves by creating a Sabbath and keeping it Holy.  Hebrews 4:9-10 says, “There still remains a place of rest, a true Sabbath, for the people of God because those who enter into salvation’s rest lay down their labors in the same way that God entered into a Sabbath rest from His.”
