5th Tuesday Panel Discussion:  Community Movers and Makers – Jan 30, 2024

Updated onFebruary 19, 2024

YOU ARE INVITED…

Join us on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 during our worship service at 5:30 p.m. We will hear from advocates, allies, and activists in the field who are working to address societal inequities. Our first discussion will focus on housing in the metro area.  Our speakers are Kelly King Horne, executive director of Homeward; Vevlyn Wright, a journalist, member of St John’s Episcopal Church and participant in RISC (Richmonders Involved to Strengthen our Communities); and Dr. Carmen Foster, a leader, facilitator, and strategist. The speakers will address oppressive systems that have hampered growth for families to thrive, housing issues in the Richmond metro area, and the various initiative created to address housing insecurity.   Join us as we learn what is happening and what needs to happen to dismantle unjust and interlocking systems of oppression.
