Healing Prayer

Be Free to Be All that God Created You to Be – what an awesome and inspiring statement.

I am reminded of Isaiah 62:6-7 – “O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually.  Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.  Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.”

In this day, in this time, God has placed people of prayer on the walls.  We are called to pray for the metropolitan city of Richmond and to pray for her inhabitants.  Pray for the people who cannot pray for themselves, the lost, weak, disenfranchised, the maimed.  Pray for all of those who have been forgotten and in a place of desolation. Take no rest, oh people of prayer – pray without ceasing.

Pray for the healing of those on the highway of life.  Help them – smooth out the road and help them see those potholes of anger, coldness, fear, doubt and insecurity and guide them through the unconditional love of God, to fill in those holes with forgiveness, compassion, courage, faith and confidence.  Help remove those boulders of fear so hope can abide and rejection so they may know that they are accepted through God’s Grace and Mercy.

Man the walls people of prayer – watchmen/sentinels – Pray without ceasing that they no longer carry the name of  “forsaken and desolate” but are transformed and called  “the Redeemed of the Lord”.
